HDR Oil Painting with Adobe Pixel Bender

Adobe Labs recently released an awesome new filter called Pixel Bender. When I first heard about Pixel Bender, I couldn’t wait to try it on some of my HDR images. It has many interesting effects. My favorite is the ‘OilPainting’ filter. I’ve been experimenting with the new filter and I’m finding it creates some very interesting HDR landscape images. If you are looking for something new and a tad abstract, I recommend checking out this new filter!

On the HDR processing side, this is my first image processed with the official release of Nik Software HDR Efex Pro. I greatly enjoyed participating in the Nik HDR Efex Pro beta. I’m thrilled to finally start testing the final version which is even faster then my last beta version and it is providing some excellent results. I can’t wait to compare the final version of Nik HDR Efex Pro vs Photomatix Pro 4 vs CS5 HDR Pro.
