Not really sure how I ended up here, but I am certainly glad I did. I am very new at HDR photography. I just purchased a Canon 7d and I am looking forward to doing some HDR work. Your stuff is great….gives me something to shoot for!

Thanks for visiting! Keeping up with the 365 project is tough but very much worth the time as it has transformed how I see the world around me. Its up to you on how you define a project 365. Initially, I was trying to take a new pic worth posting everyday. That didn't last long. What works best for me is to take a boat load of pics when I can on weekend and those lucky opportunities during the week. Then I typically spend about an hour each night processing a new image and catching up on my latest photography feeds. Another way I've made it work is by involving the family. We often go on family nature photo walks which helps the kids stay engaged and its always fun comparing different perspectives when we get home. When I know that I'm going to be swamped at work or traveling, I'll often use the schedule feature in wordpress to auto post for me and sometimes I just can't get to it but thats ok :) Hope this helps! Best of luck!!!

Hey Ken! I ran into one of your photos on the DPE flickr group and got detoured to your site. I think I spent about 15 minutes just browsing through all your photos. Great stuff! I love the blog and especially the concept of the 365 project. I have to ask though, as a husband, dad of three, and having a “real job”, do you ever find it difficult to keep up with the project? How do you motivate yourself to take that daily picture and post after a long day at work and home? Just curious and hoping to get some inspiration :)

Hi Karina,

Thanks for the question! I used a combination of filters and masking tricks in Photoshop that I outlined in my HDR examples. Hope this helps!
