eStarling WiFi TouchConnect Photo Frame Review

I’ve tried several photo frames out in the past but I was never really satisfied. They just never added very much value and were a pain to keep updated with current photos. Then I recently discovered the exciting new eStarling Wifi Touch Connect Photo Frame. This device changes the game and raises the bar in the photo frame market with the incredible technology built into the device such as Social Media integrated and built-in WiFi.

Here are some of my favorite features:

• WiFi enabled! It has a built-in 802.11n wireless network adapter so you can easily connect to a household wireless router. The built-in network connectivity is core feature that opens the door to many exciting feature possibilities.
• Social Media integration! It can be programmed to sync to many Social Media services such as Twitter, Facebook, Flickr, RSS feed, etc. This is huge because it will automatically download pictures to the photo frame from your Social Media services thus no more manual updating memory cards with your latest photos to show up.
• No subscription required! Several other digital photo frames require a subscription service to send photos directly to the frame. The eStarling supports Google Mail aka GMail so you can setup a free GMail account and associate it with the frame. Then you can email pictures from anywhere right to the frame and it’ll show up within a few minutes! This feature works incredibly well especially when taking pictures on a mobile device like an iPhone by quickly sending photos to the frame via email. It’s also a great way to allow several members of your family to join in the fun as anyone with the associated email address can send photos to the eStarling photo frame.

Here are a couple limitations of the frame:

• I could be spoiled by the performance of my iPhone but the touch screen performance on the frame is very slow.
• The power cable input is on the bottom of the frame which makes it prone to easily falling out when mounting on a wall.
• The resolution and display quality is average.
• Expensive. It costs considerable more then a similar size frame without all the features.

In summary,  it is an excellent photo frame and it makes a great family gift for any occasion! I can’t wait to see more of these type of advanced WiFi and Social Media integrated digital photo frames.
